Martina Bertoni is a Berlin based cellist and composer.
She started playing cello at a very young age. Different music always dragged her out of the expected trails, thus soon she skipped classical music to explore different roads.

Her career developed in the realms of experimental and film music, for which her cello has been featured in numerous records, works and soundtracks for awarded movies and TV series.

The core of her solo work is based on rebuilding her identity as a cellist and deconstructing the relationship with her instrument by applying compositional and performing techniques that belong to electronic and ambient music.

In 2018 she released her first solo EP, In A Paradise You Would Be Happy, followed by the newly released The green EP. In 2020 she released her first full length album 'All the ghosts are gone' with the Reykjavik based label FALK.
